I opened cove because I wanted the kind of salon I'd want to sit in: good light, good music, and nobody in a hurry.
I've been cutting hair for 28 years, and most of it dry. I cut curly hair the way it actually lives, curl by curl, so there are no surprises when it springs back. First-time clients get an hour for their consultation and cut.
I focus on cutting and work hand in hand with the team on color. For the best result, come in with your hair clean and down: not pulled back, and no hat hair.
When I'm not behind the chair, I'm usually out on Main Street with the merchants' association, hanging flower baskets or planning the next sidewalk sale.
